---Kiroku Bunka no sho toshite no Kicho na---

Precious Record of Cultural Evidence
How many hardships must a person endure in his search for the truth? The founder of Uechi Ryu, Uechi Kanei Sensei endured the hardships for over half a century to see prosperity for his work and guidance in Uechi Ryu. Uech! Kanei hoped to leave something everlasting for future generations to come involved in Uechi Ryu. From him there is deep sincerity and meaning to his words.
From the standpoint of history in Karate Do there is intended a special thanks for the constant respect not just outside us but inside us also.
Originally the succession of culture and abstract culture was to have been directly limited to master and pupil or father and son. This succession between master and pupil was transferred with reverence regarding “Te Jutsu".
Originally the legitimacy of abstract culture in the rural districts was not recorded, only verbal evidence exists.
Today “Present" and "Today Past" we should take the time to understand how the extents of Karate Do’s keen attributes are put to use.

During ancient times on Okinawa an outsider often failed to get in-depth secret information on Karate Do. This information only came from Master to Pupil, Father to son.

The inherited person to receive this information had to develop special individual characteristics and special art, skill and abilities. The extent to which it was conveyed was odd but again the benefit received from this special training had had its rewards.

The one important theory of Karate Do was to develop of the right conduct or attitudes. To know, develop, and appreciate these qualities created by the mission of Karate Do, one only has to read the Bunken (Old Literature) to understand its meaning.

To do this you gained the right meaning from the old literature on what these unique individual or individuals were teaching. The precious meaning of this publication came from an era that will have special significance for the modern Karate-Do student.
In the world today, I think that people should take a stand for carrying on the unchangeable theory of Karate Do and carrying on this knowledge into new fields. To standup and spread this great progress and expansion is greatly needed.
In the history of Karate Do and the history of Uechi Rvu Karate Do who’s to say what the decisions will be? We don't know, but from a fifty-year-old Karate Ka's view of the theory of the mind, body and spirit the polishing of the Shugyosha’s conduct this is often a bitter struggle.
So we must leave for others a path to follow. This is seen in the history of Karate-Do and must accept as a fate of ones upbringing or cultural behavior. There is cultural evidence and verbal tales, which will prove this fact.

I think this book at the present should be a guide for the person or person’s actions in Uechi Ryu Karate Do. This precious record should be a guide to the future and must not be lost.

The immortality of Uechi Ryu is but a guidepost. The desire however is to learn and if diligently applied nothing can stop a person from achieving his or her goals.
