$5#6K7File menu commands

The File menu offers the following commands:




Newfile_new

Creates a new Design, Project or Text file.

Openfile_open

Opens an existing file.


Exitapp_exit

Exits WinCupl.

#8K9New(File menu)

Use this command to create a new Design, Project or Text file.

If you choose Design, you will be prompted for the header information and the number of inputs, outputs and pinnodes for the design. You may enter a number for the inputs, outputs and pinnodes or you may select cancel to skip any of the sections. When you complete the dialogs, a new design template will be opened for you.

If you choose Project, you will be prompted for all of the above information and the project window will be opened as well. The project window will display new files as they are created by the compiler or other WinCUPL tools.
If you choose Text, a new empty text file will be opened for you
Shortcuts

Toolbar: Opens a new Text file.

Keys: CTRL+N Opens a new Text file.

#10Open (File menu)


Use this command to open an existing file.
Shortcuts

Toolbar:

Keys: CTRL+O

#11Open Project (File menu)


Use this command to open an existing project.
This command opens an existing .PLD source file and also displays the associated project window.


#12Close (File menu)


Use this command to close the active document window. If the document in the window has been altered you will be prompted to save the file.
Shortcuts

Toolbar:

Keys: CTRL+F4

#13Close Project (File menu)


Use this command to close the active project. All open files for the project will be closed as well as the project window. If any documents in the project have been altered you will be prompted to save each altered file.


#14Save (File menu)


Use this command to save the active document to a disk file.
Shortcuts

Toolbar:

Keys: CTRL+S

#15Save As (File menu)


Use this command to save the active document to a disk file with a new name.

#16Save All (File menu)


Use this command to save all open documents to a disk files.

#17Printer Setup (File menu)


Use this command to select a printer and to set the printer options. This command displays the standard Windows printer setup dialog.
